Recently, the three-day "Academic Conference on Materials and Structural Mechanics under Extreme Conditions" concluded successfully in Chengdu. This high-level academic event, jointly organized by the Solid Mechanics Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics and Sichuan University, brought together eight academicians including Zhou Youhe and Duan Huiling, as well as over 400 top scholars from across the country, to jointly discuss the cutting-edge challenges and major national demands in the field of extreme mechanics. The conference is set up with 10 sub-venues. It covers material and structural mechanics under high field strength/high load conditions, ultra-high/low temperature conditions, strong impact/ultra-high pressure conditions, strong irradiation conditions, strong corrosion/mechanical coupling conditions, fatigue load conditions, micro-nano scale materials and structural mechanics, multi-field/multi-scale materials and structural mechanics, and extreme strips More than 230 special reports were held intensively in multiple fields such as experimental mechanics and scientific instruments, presenting the latest research achievements from around the world.

At the meeting, Liu Ji, a mechanical engineer from the company's research institute, delivered a keynote report on "Development of High-Temperature Vacuum Creep Performance Testing System for Irradiated Plate-shaped Micro-Samples" on behalf of Wance, systematically elaborating on the breakthrough solutions developed by the company for high-end fields such as nuclear energy and aerospace. This system has overcome the challenges of precise loading and data acquisition of micro-samples in high-temperature vacuum environments, achieving synchronous testing of irradiation damage and creep performance. Its technical indicators have reached the international advanced level, providing key experimental support for the research and development of materials under extreme working conditions.
